Horner reveals Red Bull's luxury issue from Verstappen success

With the Spanish Grand Prix marking Max Verstappen's 40th win in F1, Red Bull – which also scored four consecutive championships with Sebastian Vettel between 2010 and 2013 – is building up quite a collection of trophies at their Milton Keynes base.

Christian Horner has revealed Red Bull is facing a luxury problem at their Milton Keynes base as a result of Max Verstappen's winning streak in Formula 1.

The team has started the 2023 season in dominant fashion with seven wins from seven races - the Dutchman clinching five en route to a 53-point lead over teammate Sergio Perez in the Drivers' standings.

Verstappen's latest victory at the Spanish Grand Prix marked his 40th win in F1, with the continued run of form proving to be Red Bull's strongest period in the sport since winning four consecutive championships with Sebastian Vettel between 2010 and 2013.

But as a result, Team Principal Horner has conceded that the team is running out of trophy space at their headquarters.

Horner: Red Bull filling trophy cabinets quicker than we can build them!

"I'm a great believer in never having empty cabinets," Horner joked when speaking to media, including RacingNews365.com.

"We're filling them quicker than we can build them at the moment. But it's always been a superstition I've had: Win the trophies first and then get a cabinet."

Verstappen's win in Barcelona was the 99th victory for Red Bull, meaning the centenary could be completed at the Canadian Grand Prix.
