AlphaTauri Team Principal Franz Tost is not worried about Formula 1 becoming less appealing in the face of Max Verstappen and Red Bull's recent dominance.
The Milton Keynes squad have enjoyed a hugely successful start to the 2023 F1 season, having won every race so far with Verstappen and Sergio Perez, while their lead in the Constructors' Championship stands at 135 points.
Some followers of the sport have labelled this as "boring", but this is a view that Tost does not agree with.
Tost not worried about impact on F1 of dominance
When asked if he is concerned about F1 in light of Red Bull's dominant period, Tost told Austrian outlet OE24: "No. No matter where we go, we are sold out at almost all race tracks, as we were at the Austrian GP, by the way.
"The fact that the ratings in Germany and Austria are declining is mainly due to the lack of national heroes.
"When I came to Germany in 1988, Formula 1 was a marginal topic. Then Michael Schumacher came and the ratings shot up. The same in Spain with [Fernando] Alonso."

Verstappen's 'exceptional skills'
Tost has outlined the qualities that he believes have been crucial in building Verstappen's success.
"Red Bull built him a super good car and [the team] has a sensational technical team," he explained.
"That and his exceptional skills make the perfect combination. Nobody even comes close."
On whether Red Bull can go on to win every race in 2023, Tost added: "From a performance point of view: Yes! But nothing is certain."
